Yesterday was originally supposed to be the When We Were Young Festival. We’re dealing with winds of 50mph so it was cancelled.
It’s a pain, but it’s okay. It happens. You can’t argue with it. However, all hail the All-American Rejects. They didn’t just get drunk and pack it up. The couple tweeted they were heading to a BBQ joint where they would play for 300-500 persons and they were giving their tickets away.
It is too small. It is indeed small. But that’s what makes some of these shows so great. Randomness, and trying to make it happen even after a major show has been cancelled. You can give something to some fans. Think about what you would do if your name was called and offered a seat at that event. There is nothing better than hearing Swing, Swing with 499 other people.
When We Were Young is real. I am aware of that. It’s basically me 35 wanting to become 17-year-old me. Just a bunch o’ pop punk that I listened too as if it was normal for me in the early to mid 2000s. All-American Rejects created something from nothing.
You would rank it as the greatest concert you’ve ever witnessed if you had access. York College 2005 has Something Corporate. Oh, and I can’t even hate All-American Rejects. Jams are available. It doesn’t matter what you like, we all love it.
