NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Firefly Distillery will host the first annual “Getty Saucy”BBQ Sauce Competition, September 24, 2011, 11:00 AM – 6:45 PM
The event will bring together sauce experts from South Carolina to the Lowcountry to compete in a showdown to determine who’s best sauce.
Every competitor will get the same amount of meat in order to guarantee fairness. All competitors will receive the same meat.

Each category’s winners will be decided after an oral taste test.
There will be additional food trucks and drinks available, as well as a contest for corn hole and activities for kids. Live entertainment is provided by Chris Boone, Lauren Hall, Ben Fagan, and The Holy City Hooligans.
Tickets cost $40 in advance and $45 at the gate. Kinder under 12 are free. Sauces can be tasted at no charge.
