NEWS RELEASE

On Monday, September 5, 2022, the Knights of Columbus Labor Day Barbecue returns to Rome Civic Center. Advance ordering and walk-up orders are both still possible.

Knights won’t be serving indoor food. Orders will be available to go and will have two drive-thru lanes. Be sure to follow all signage and the crews at the parking lot.

Advance online ordering continues through Friday evening by visiting the Knights’ secure website at www.romebbq.com. Orders for to-go can be picked up from the civic center starting Monday Sept. 5 at 10 AM. Online orders will be delivered first with designated pickup times.

You are invited to walk up on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. or until stock runs out. You can find the following items this year:

  • $11 for 1 lb of pulled pork.
  • One quart Brunswick stew is $12.
  • $8 per quart of baked beans

This is the Knights’ 54th barbecue and all proceeds are returned to our community. The Knights have donated to many non-profits throughout Rome and Floyd County thanks to your generosity. In return, the community received over $270,000.

“We are grateful to those who’ve already ordered Rome’s best barbecue for pickup this Monday. We invite others to join us for carry-out or drive-through service on Labor Day as well,”Greg Armstrong, Grand Knight
